Jonathan Groff added to Matrix 4 cast.

Mindhunter’s Jonathan Groff has been added to the Matrix 4 cast as an unidentified character as of yet. He will be playing alongside Neil Patrick Harris, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Jessica Henwick. Veterans of the franchise such as Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss and Jada Pinkett Smith will also be returning to their iconic roles. Some of the crew are also returning alongside the cast such as director Lana Wachowski.

Groff and Harris’ addition to the franchise marks an important moment in Matrix history as they will be the first members of the LGBTQ+ community to be cast. However, it will be a while before we find out officially who either of them are playing as the film is still in pre-production and producers are keeping their spoiler cards close to their chests.
