Sooryavanshi Trailer Launch with Katrina Kaif, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh & Karan Johar

Trailer of Sooryavanshi unveiled today

The trailer of Rohit Shetty’s new cop drama Sooryavanshi has launched amid great fanfare today. Akshay Kumar, who plays the titular character – Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) chief DCP Veer Sooryavanshi, arrived in on a motorbike.

Sooryavanshi, which is the fourth installment in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe, after Ajay Devgn’s Singham and Singham Returns, and Ranveer Singh’s  Simmba, features Katrina Kaif as the leading lady. She will be seen playing a doctor in the film.

Producer Karan Johar said that the excitement for the trailer of  Sooryavanshi was unprecedented. He said,

“There is palpable excitement in the room. I don’t think in my years of producing and making films I have seen this level of energy for the release of a trailer and justifiably so, because this is a universe which Hindi cinema hasn’t seen,”

Ranveer said that he was “too excited” to be a part of Sooryavanshi, while Akshay said that in his nearly three-decade-long career, he never saw such a huge crowd at his trailer launch. “Rohit has made a fabulous movie. I hope the audience will like it,” Akshay said, adding that Katrina was “fabulous” in the film.

Sooryavanshi is presented by Reliance Entertainment and produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez in association with Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films and is set to release in cinemas on 24^th March 2020.
