The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has today announced that BAFTA-nominated actor Lennie James will discuss his craft and career highlights at a live digital event, ‘Masterclass: Lennie James’, on Wednesday 11 November at 19.30 GMT.
Join Lennie James in-conversation on the evolution of his work, sharing his unique insights on both performance and process. Hear about his long-spanning acting and screenwriting career, techniques and approaches to his craft.
Nottingham-born Lennie James grew up in London before studying his craft at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He spent several years working in theatre and television, before breaking into film and has since appeared in over 20 films. He is best known for his roles across both mediums, including his highly-praised role as Morgan Jones in the popular AMC series The Walking Dead as well as his cross over to the companion series Fear the Walking Dead. James starred as the mysterious Robert Hawkins in the CBS series Jericho; Detective Joe Geddes in the AMC television series Low Winter Sun; and as the lead in Sky One’s ground-breaking medical drama Critical. Other television credits include Buried, The State Within, Spooks, Fallout, The Prisoner and BBC’s Line of Duty. Film credits include Blade Runner 2049, Double Pay, Les Misérables, Snatch, Lockout, Get On Up, 24 Hour Party People, Sahara, Outlaw and lending his voice to Peter Rabbit 2. James starred in the critically acclaimed Sky Original series Save Me, a production he also created and wrote, and for which he was BAFTA-nominated and won two RTS Programme Awards for Drama Series and Writer – Drama. Following the success of this series, James reprised his role as Nelly in the gripping dark drama Save Me Too.
Lennie James can now be seen in the eagerly anticipated sixth season of Fear the Walking Dead.
‘Masterclass: Lennie James’ forms part of BAFTAs year-round events programme. The upcoming autumn events programme, which will continue to take place entirely online and be accessible to both industry and public, includes:
