Timothée Chalamet brings ‘Wonkamania’ to London

The World Premiere of the hotly anticipated film of the festive season this year, Wonka, starring Timothée Chalamet and British royalty such as Olivia Colman, Rowan Atkinson and Hugh Grant finally hit London’s iconic Royal Festival Hall with some of the biggest names in attendance. 

Hundreds of fans camped out and queued to see their favourite stars from the film. Before the premiere, Timothée Chalamet, Olivia Colman, Hugh Grant, Rowan Atkinson, Keegan Michael Key, Sally Hawkins and Matt Lucas attended a photocall in front of the River Thames, braving the typical British weather.

Talking about the film, Timothée says, “I do think this is a Christmas movie because I think it’s joyful. It’s hopeful. It’s fantastical. It’s huge. David Heyman is a producer on this, obviously he didn’t direct it, but the films he does, like Harry Potter or Barbie, are these huge world-building movies and this is one of them.”

Also in attendance at the World Premiere were the likes of model Rahi Chadda, singer Sonna Rele, artist Inkquisitive and actors Mandip Gill and Manpreet Bambra to name a few.

Wonka is in UK cinemas from 8^th December 2023.
