Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan to reunite for Nancy Meyers’s Hollywood classic “The Intern’s” remake, shooting to start in 2024

Indian actress Deepika Padukone is all set to embark another journey as a producer-actor for the remake of Hollywood Classic “Intern” alongside Amitabh Bachchan.

According to reports, the shooting of the film will hit the floor in the first quarter of 2024.
Remaking “Intern” would be Padukone’s second production venture after Chhapaak as both a producer and an actor. The film will also be a reunion for both Padukone and Bachchan after their remarkable performance in “Piku”.

Currently, the actress is gearing for Sidharth Anand’s “Fighter”, sharing the screen with Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor.

According to source, cited by News 18, the “film has suffered many delays due to unavoidable circumstances but the makers are finally ready to roll it”.

“If all goes well, the shoot of the film will begin in January–February next year. While Deepika will be a part of the first schedule of the film, it’s still unclear as to when Big B will begin shooting,” said the source.

The film will be directed by Amit Shrama, who made “Badhaai Ho”. The film’s first poster was released back in 2021, announcing that the “Intern” remake will be co-produced by Sunil Kheterpal, with Warner Brothers India, Ka Productions, and Azure Entertainment collaborating on the film.
