Siddharth Anand’s ‘Fighter’ trailer launched, story revolves around Pulwama attack

The trailer for Siddharth Anand’s upcoming aerial action drama “Fighter” was released today, promising a thrilling and patriotic cinematic experience.

The film features Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor in key roles, along with Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, and Talat Aziz. The story revolves around the 2019 Pulwama attack.

The trailer launch event was not attended by Deepika Padukone and Karan Singh Grover. Hrithik graced the event along with director Siddharth Anand. The 50-year-old actor thanked the director and his team for making the film.

He said, “Thank you to the universe for surrounding me with crazy, mad insane passionate human beings. (I’m thankful) for the opportunity to be working with someone as crazy, as passionate as Sid Anand and to be as courageous, passionate, and insane as Anil sir.”

There are some rumors about Deepika Padukone not attending the promotional event of the film while the director unfollowed the actress on Instagram. The trailer introduces Anil Kapoor as the leader of a quick response team, featuring Hrithik as Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania and Deepika as Squadron Leader Minal Rathore.

The initial part of the trailer showcases the film’s aesthetic appeal, from the characters to its picturesque locations.

However, the plot takes a serious turn as it delves into the narrative of “the deadliest terror attack on Indian air forces” in Pulwama. The film intricately references the Pulwama attack and India’s subsequent strikes in Balakot, adding a layer of intensity to the storyline.

‘Fighter’ is scheduled to hit theaters on 25th January 2024.
