Michael Shanks to direct Dave Franco, Alison Brie’s horror movie ‘Together’

Michael Shanks, who is a first-time writer-director, will direct Dave Franco and Alison Brie in a horror feature film named ‘Together’. Shanks will both write and direct along with Picturestart, Tango, 1.21, and Princess Pictures. Franco and Brie will be producing. Tango, Picturestart and 30West will be financing the feature film.

The movie is about the horror of co-dependency that is told uniquely. Other details about the film are currently kept under wraps.

Franco’s most recent project was A24’s Love Lies Bleeding. The feature also had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. Franco, best known for his work in 21 Jump Street and The Disaster Artist, was also seen in Netflix’s Day Shift. Apart from acting, he also directed the Amazon Studios pic Somebody I Used to Know, which starred Brie, Amy Sedaris and Jay Ellis.

As for Brie, her next project is the Peacock series Apples Never Fall; she will star opposite Annette Bening, Sam Neill and Jake Lacy. Recently, she also starred in Jeff Baena’s Horse Girl, which she also co-wrote and produced.
