All about Lazarus, Prime Video’s next mystery series written by Harlan Coben

Prime Video announced the order of ‘Lazarus’ (working title), a psychological mystery thriller, as a limited series. The story, based on an original idea by New York Times best-selling author Harlan Coben and BAFTA-winner Danny Brocklehurst, follows a man returning home after his father’s suicide, only to encounter disturbing experiences he can’t explain. As he delves into the mystery surrounding his father’s death and his sister’s murder 25 years ago, he becomes entangled in a series of cold-case murders. The series will stream exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Sam Claflin, who also serves as an executive producer, has been cast as Laz, a respected forensic psychologist confronting the pain of his past upon returning home. Meanwhile, Bill Nighy takes on the role of Doctor Lazarus (Dr. L), Laz’s father, whose death prompts a deeper exploration of family secrets. Alexandra Roach portrays Jenna Lazarus, Laz’s sister, who grapples with her own past as Laz uncovers unsettling truths.

Rola Bauer, head of Pan-English scripted SVOD TV at Amazon MGM Studios, expressed confidence in the global appeal of “Lazarus,” praising the collaboration of Coben, Brocklehurst, and director Wayne Yip, along with the stellar cast and production team.
