Kate Winslet has become Mother Earth, narrating DreamScapes, a genre-bending natural history documentary displaying planet Earth’s beauty with the help of breathtaking visuals and arousing music, Deadline reported. The movie from Austria’s Hallmann Entertainment has used time-lapse sequences and aerial shots captured by drones to bring to the fore the world’s landscapes, from below oceans to coasts, deserts and forests. The footage was captured by more than 250 videographers from 100 countries. “I felt so excited to be part of something that was not focused on underlining the declining world but really amplifying the beautiful natural world that is still there,” said Winslet. “And we all have this shared responsibility to protect it. Being able to give my voice to something that felt very unique, very beautiful and very special was something I immediately my heart was drawn to it straight away.” The documentary has been written and directed by Christian Machacek, and co-written by Larissa Kamtner. Klemens Hallmann is the producer and Patrick Knapp-Schwarzenegger and Harro von Have are the executive producers. The score was composed by Edwin Wendler.
