The Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival (DPIFF) Awards 2024 was a star-studded affair that witnessed the convergence of top talents from the Indian film and television industry.

Held on Tuesday evening, the award function showcased the zenith of cinematic excellence, with luminaries such as Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Kareena Kapoor, and more gracing the occasion.

The highlight of the evening was Shah Rukh Khan winning the coveted Best Actor award for his performance in the film ‘Jawan’. The movie, which also featured powerhouse performances by Nayanthara and Deepika Padukone, garnered widespread acclaim for its gripping narrative and compelling characters.

Adding to the glory, Nayanthara was honored as the most Versatile Actress for her portrayal in ‘Jawan’ and Atlee won Best Director (Critics). Rani Mukerji received Best Actress for ‘Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway.’

In the realm of critics’ choices, Vicky Kaushal’s exceptional role in ‘Sam Bahadur’ earned him the title of Best Actor (Critics). Meanwhile, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’ got him the Best Director award and Bobby Deol bagged Best Actor in a Negative Role for the same film.

The ceremony also celebrated excellence in the digital realm, with Karishma Tanna shining bright as she was awarded the Critics Best Actress in web series for her captivating portrayal in ‘Scoop’. Tanna’s ability to breathe life into her characters with depth and authenticity earned her praise from both audiences and critics alike, solidifying her status as a powerhouse in the entertainment industry.
