South Korean drama comics platform Manta has forayed into the French-speaking world. It has now selected as many as 10 titles for its audiences in France, Canada, and other French-speaking markets, Deadline reported. Titles including Manta’s acclaimed series, such as Under the Oak Tree, Lies Become You, I’ve Become a True Villainess, Mokrin, Finding Camellia, and Disobey the Duke if You Dare, will debut in France. New releases are also scheduled for every month. Following a Spanish launch in Spring 2023, this move represents Manta’s second localisation initiative. Manta, a digital comics platform, provides subscribers with exclusive K-drama content, attracting readers and audiences alike. As of January 2024, the platform boasted 14 million downloads. Its comics have successfully transitioned into TV dramas and physical books.
