Mexican drama ‘The Manny’ renewed for second season

Netflix has confirmed that ‘The Manny’ has been renewed for a second season. Talking about the renewal, Sanda Echeverría, who plays the character of Jimena in the series, said that she is happy and grateful. “I never thought this would become such a beloved project globally. I can finally continue to tell this story to the fans who, like me, were anxious to watch more of Jimena and Gaby,” Echeverría added.

The protagonist of the beloved show, Iván Amozurrutia, who plays the fans’ favorite nanny/rancher, added: “I can’t be everyone’s personal manny, but with this second season, I hope to join them once again from their screens. I’m very excited to continue this story in response to how much people enjoyed it. Fans messages push me to give this new season my all”.

Not only was the show a hit among the Mexicans, but the romance between the rancher and the bold and beautiful Jimena debuted in the global non-English language TV series Top 10 with 8.2 million views and continued among the category’s favorites for four weeks.
