Oscar winner Troy Kotsur joins Apple’s ‘Foundation’ for season 3

Troy Kotsur, who recently won an Oscar for his role in ‘CODA’, is set to make his return to Apple TV+ as he joins the cast of the third season of ‘Foundation’.

Produced by Skydance TV, ‘Foundation’ recently faced a delay in production restart, originally slated for this month. However, due to budgeting and physical production issues, filming is now scheduled to recommence on 6th March in the Czech Republic and Poland.

In the sci-fi drama, Kotsur will portray Preem Palver, the enigmatic leader of a planet inhabited by psychics. The series, based on Isaac Asimov’s beloved trilogy, revolves around The Foundation, a group of exiles determined to save the Galactic Empire from impending doom.

Starring Jared Harris and Lee Pace, the narrative follows the journeys of four pivotal characters as they navigate crises, shifting allegiances, and complex relationships that shape the fate of humanity.

‘Foundation’ boasts an ensemble cast including Lou Llobell, Leah Harvey, Laura Birn, Cassian Bilton, Terrence Mann, Isabella Laughland, Kulvinder Ghir, Ella-Rae Smith, Holt McCallany, Rachel House, Nimrat Kaur, Ben Daniels, and Dimitri Leonidas.

The series is produced for Apple TV+ by Skydance Television, with David S. Goyer serving as showrunner and executive producer alongside Alex Graves, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Bill Bost, and Robin Asimov.
