James Badge Dale has landed a significant recurring role in the upcoming Apple TV+ limited series “The Savant,” which stars and is executive-produced by Jessica Chastain. Joining them is Nnamdi Asomugha in the eight-episode series created by Melissa James Gibson, in collaboration with Fifth Season and Anonymous Content.

Based on a true story featured in Cosmopolitan and written by Andrea Stanley, details about the storyline and characters remain tightly guarded.

Chastain and Kelly Carmichael serve as executive producers under their Freckle Films banner, while James Gibson oversees as an executive producer. Matthew Heineman directs and also serves as executive producer. Jessica Giles, editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan, joins as an executive producer, with Brian Madden, SVP Development for Hearst Magazines, as a producer. Stanley contributes as a consultant.

Dale, fresh off leading roles in indie features “King Ivory” and “Violent Ends,” recently wrapped up his stint as the lead in Starz’s “Hightown” and Taylor Sheridan’s series “1923.” He also made a notable appearance in the Emmy-winning series “Ramy.” Dale is represented by CAA, MJ Management, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman et al.
