Former British politician Jacob Rees-Mogg is set to feature in his own reality series, “Meet the Rees-Moggs,” on Discovery+ U.K. and Ireland, according to Variety report. The announcement comes shortly after Rees-Mogg lost his parliamentary seat last week. The series, produced by Optomen, will consist of five 60-minute episodes and will be available on Discovery+ later this year. “Meet the Rees-Moggs” will provide an in-depth look at Rees-Mogg’s life, offering exclusive access to his home life in his 17th-century Somerset house, where he lives with his wife and six children. The series will cover the period leading up to the General Election and its aftermath. The Conservative politician, known for his traditional attire and views, has often been a subject of internet memes. Despite having six children, Rees-Mogg once confessed that he had never changed a nappy, saying, “The nanny does it brilliantly. I’ve made no pretence to be a modern man at all, ever.” There has been speculation that Rees-Mogg was considering a transition from politics to media, following in the footsteps of former MPs like Matt Hancock, who participated in “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!,” and Boris Johnson, who returned to journalism after his term as Prime Minister. Rees-Mogg currently hosts a show on GB News, where he has occasionally been found in breach of impartiality rules by media regulator Ofcom. Commenting on his new series, Rees-Mogg said, “Animals, children, an election and a film crew. What could possibly go wrong? This everyday story of Somerset folk is fun to film but may be a bit more ‘Fawlty Towers’ than ‘Downton Abbey.’” About Author SSZee Media Provider of Quality Entertainment News and Information See author's posts Share this: Share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Share on X (Opens in new window) X Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window) Tumblr Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window) LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window) WhatsApp Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window) Pinterest Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email Share on Telegram (Opens in new window) Telegram Share on Reddit (Opens in new window) Reddit Print (Opens in new window) Print Like this:Like Loading...
