Syfy has cancelled the horror comedy series “Reginald the Vampire” after two seasons, according to TVLine report. Based on the book series by Johnny B. Truant, “Reginald the Vampire” followed the story of Reginald Andres, portrayed by Jacob Batalon. In a world dominated by beautiful, fit, and vain vampires, Reginald emerges as an unlikely hero who must navigate numerous obstacles. These include the girl he loves but can’t be with, a bully manager at work, and a vampire chieftain who wants him dead. As the story unfolds, Reginald discovers he has some unrecognized powers of his own. The cast also included Savannah Basley, Em Haine, Mandela Van Peebles, Jeremiah Chechik, and Harley Peyton. The cancellation of “Reginald the Vampire” comes amid Syfy’s strategic changes, including moving “Resident Alien” to USA. The fate of both “Reginald the Vampire” and “Chucky,” which is shared by Syfy and USA, had been pending, with “Chucky” still awaiting a decision. Syfy’s upcoming slate includes the renewed Canadian co-production “SurrealEstate” for a third season and the new horror drama “Revival.” “Reginald the Vampire” was produced by Great Pacific Media, Modern Story Company, December Films, and Cineflix Studios. The executive producers were Harley Peyton, Jeremiah Chechik, Todd Berger, Lindsay Macadam, Brett Burlock, and Peter Emerson, with Batalon serving as a co-executive producer.
