The Lyca Radio Network is set to make its debut in the Midlands with the upcoming launch of Lyca Radio – Leicester, marking network’s first venture into the region following its recent expansion into the North West of England, where it acquired frequencies from Asian Sound Radio in Manchester. Lyca Radio – Leicester will be accessible on full-scale DAB digital radio across the area. While an official launch date has not yet been announced, the expansion was unveiled during a segment on Lyca Radio’s flagship station. Raj Baddhan, CEO of Lyca Radio Network, shared his enthusiasm for the new venture, said, “After the tremendous success of Lyca Radio in Greater London and Greater Manchester, we are excited to bring the brand to the Midlands with the launch of Lyca Radio – Leicester. Leicester listeners can look forward to a fantastic line-up, featuring carefully curated shows from Lyca Radio and Lyca Gold, as well as exclusive programming tailored for Leicestershire.” “Lyca Radio Network is getting BIGGER! We are launching across Leicestershire on full-scale DAB digital radio this October,” wrote Baddhan in a Facebook post. The launch of Lyca Radio – Leicester is anticipated to coincide with the upcoming Hindu festival of Navratri, promising a vibrant addition to the local media landscape.
