Netflix has released the main trailer and character posters for Uprising, the upcoming war epic directed by Kim Sang-man and produced by the acclaimed Park Chan-wook. Set to premiere on 11th October, the film offers a gripping narrative of two childhood friends, torn apart by betrayal, who find themselves on opposite sides of a battlefield. Written by Park Chan-wook and Shin Chul, Uprising is a powerful exploration of friendship, loyalty, and the destructive impact of societal class differences during times of war. The trailer introduces Cheon-yeong, played by Gang Dong-won, who seeks to escape his life of servitude and reclaim his rightful status. His friendship with Jong-ryeo, however, falters as Jong-ryeo’s family refuses to honor their promise to free him. The once-loyal friends become fierce enemies as war breaks out. Cheon-yeong joins the militia and gains a fearsome reputation as “the blue-robed god” for his unmatched swordsmanship, while Jong-ryeo rises to become a high-ranking military officer, driven by anger and resentment toward his former friend. The trailer builds anticipation, with scenes of Gyeongbokgung Palace in flames, signifying the chaos that threatens to consume them both. The character posters, featuring intense facial expressions, introduce key figures involved in this emotionally charged story. In addition to the two main characters, audiences are introduced to a slave, a nobleman, a king, a militia member, and a Japanese soldier, hinting at the complex dynamics that will unfold. The stellar cast includes Kim Shin-rock as Beom-dong, Jin Sun-kyu as General Kim Ja-ryeong, Jung Sung-il as Genshin, and Cha Seung-won as King Seonjo. As the world crumbles around them, each character must chart their own course through the chaos, battling against fate.Watch the trailer here: About Author SSZee Media Provider of Quality Entertainment News and Information See author's posts Share this: Share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Share on X (Opens in new window) X Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window) Tumblr Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window) LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window) WhatsApp Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window) Pinterest Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email Share on Telegram (Opens in new window) Telegram Share on Reddit (Opens in new window) Reddit Print (Opens in new window) Print Like this:Like Loading… Related Post navigation Prime Video celebrates women trailblazers in film and TV at inaugural event in London New faces in “Accused” season 2 include Sonequa Martin-Green, Mike Colter, and Jamie Chung
