Nagarjuna Akkineni and his family are reportedly preparing to take legal action against Telangana political leader Konda Surekha after she made controversial claims about Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s divorce. On Wednesday, Surekha alleged that Telangana minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) played a role in the couple’s separation, a claim that has been firmly rejected by both the Akkineni family and Samantha. The Akkineni family, including Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya, Amala, and Akhil, publicly slammed the accusations, while Samantha also voiced her disapproval. In addition, KTR has sent a legal notice to Surekha, demanding that she withdraw her statements. Though Surekha has since retracted her comments, reports suggest that the Akkineni family is moving forward with their own legal notice. The Telugu Film Chamber is also expected to issue a separate notice. Surekha’s now-withdrawn allegations implied that Samantha refused to cooperate with a supposed demand from KTR, which she claimed led to the breakdown of her marriage with Naga Chaitanya. “KTR asked to send Samantha in exchange for not demolishing the N-Convention Centre. Nagarjuna forced Samantha to go to KTR, but she refused. This led to divorce,” Surekha had alleged. The N-Convention Centre, owned by Nagarjuna, became a focal point of controversy in August when it was partially demolished by the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection Agency (HYDRAA) for encroaching on a lake’s buffer zone. Although Nagarjuna later secured a stay order from the High Court, Surekha’s comments stirred considerable public attention. Nagarjuna responded strongly to the claims, said, “I strongly condemn the comments of Hon’ble Minister Mrs. Konda Surekha. Do not use the lives of film stars who are away from politics to criticise your opponents. Please respect other people’s privacy. As a woman in a responsible position, your comments and allegations against our family are completely irrelevant and false. I request you to withdraw your comments immediately.” About Author SSZee Media Provider of Quality Entertainment News and Information See author's posts Share this: Share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Share on X (Opens in new window) X Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window) Tumblr Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window) LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window) WhatsApp Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window) Pinterest Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email Share on Telegram (Opens in new window) Telegram Share on Reddit (Opens in new window) Reddit Print (Opens in new window) Print Like this:Like Loading… Related Post navigation UK to return Chagos Islands to Mauritius after decades of dispute Mubi acquires rights to Luca Guadagnino’s “Queer” across multiple territories
