Jake Bongiovi has officially signed on for Poetic License, the feature directorial debut of Maude Apatow, according to Deadline exclusive. The film features Andrew Barth Feldman, Cooper Hoffman, Maisy Stella, and Leslie Mann. The screenplay, written by Raffi Donatich, centers on Liz, a former therapist approaching an empty nest, who finds herself at the heart of a dramatic rivalry between best friends and college seniors Sam and Ari. As their intense competition for her attention escalates, Liz is compelled to confront her own life choices and unresolved dilemmas. The project serves as the inaugural production for Jewelbox Pictures, the newly launched company co-founded by Apatow and Olivia Rosenbloom. Levantine Films is also on board as a producer, further solidifying the film’s creative pedigree. The project underlines Apatow’s growing influence in Hollywood, both as an actress and now as a filmmaker.
