Camila Morrone, known for Daisy Jones & The Six and Adam DiMarco of The White Lotus are officially set to star in Netflix’s upcoming horror drama Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen. The atmospheric series, created by Haley Z. Boston, comes from the creative minds behind Stranger Things—The Duffer Brothers—and Hilary Leavitt, produced under their Upside Down Pictures banner. Emmy nominee Weronika Tofilska (Baby Reindeer) has signed on to direct four episodes of the show. The series unfolds during the week leading up to a wedding, where Morrone plays the bride and DiMarco the groom. The ominous title offers a clue to the sinister events that await. Haley Z. Boston will serve as showrunner and executive producer, with The Duffers, Leavitt, and Andrea Sperling also joining as executive producers under Netflix’s overall deal. Tofilska doubles as director and executive producer. Morrone, an Emmy-nominated actress for her performance in Prime Video’s Daisy Jones & The Six, has recently been making waves with her title role in the film Marmalade and her upcoming appearance in The Night Manager Season 2. She is represented by WME, Brillstein Entertainment Partners, and Hansen Jacobson Teller. DiMarco, best known for his role as Albie in HBO’s The White Lotus Season 2, will soon appear in the Prime Video series Overcompensating by Benito Skinner. He is represented by UTA, Characters Talent Agency, and Canopy Media Partners.
