Anil Kapoor celebrates 68th birthday with a sneak peek of “Subedaar”

Indian actor Anil Kapoor marked his 68th birthday by treating fans to an exclusive glimpse of his upcoming film Subedaar. The Prime Video clip, shared on Instagram, showcases Kapoor in the titular role of Subedaar Arjun Maurya, a former soldier battling to protect his family from threats that hit closer to home.

Set against a suspenseful soundtrack, the teaser shows the protagonist readying himself for a confrontation with enemies at his doorstep, hinting at a high-octane narrative of resilience and familial duty.

“Subedaar is special. It’s much more than just an action film; it’s about resilience, honor, family, and the relentless fight we face in life,” said Kapoor in a heartfelt statement. “Revealing this first glimpse of Subedaar Arjun Maurya on my birthday is my gift to the fans who have supported me all these years.”

Directed by Suresh Triveni, who co-wrote the film with Prajwal Chandrashekar, Subedaar features Kapoor alongside Radhikka Madan, portraying his on-screen daughter. The movie is produced by Opening Image Films and Anil Kapoor Film & Communication Network.

Having just wrapped up an outdoor shoot, the film is set to begin its final filming phase in January 2025. Kapoor expressed his admiration for the director and team, said, “I could not have asked a better director than Suresh to captain this film, and it is equally special to partner with Vikram and team as we bring this story to life.”
