Hulu is set to kick off Fall 2025 with Chad Powers, a half-hour comedy blending sports, humor, and identity swaps. Co-created by Glen Powell and Michael Waldron, the series is produced by 20th Television and takes its cues from a popular sketch that originally aired as part of Eli Manning’s Eli’s Places series on ESPN+.

Powell leads the show as Russ Holliday, a once-promising college quarterback whose career implodes due to bad behavior. Seeking redemption and a fresh start, he adopts a new identity as Chad Powers and joins a struggling Southern football team, bringing both talent and charm to the field.

The series boasts a strong ensemble cast, with Powell joined by Perry Mattfeld as Ricky, Quentin Plair as Coach Byrd, Wynn Everett as Tricia, Frankie A. Rodriguez as Danny, and Steve Zahn as Jake Hudson.

Behind the scenes, a powerhouse production team includes executive producers Eli Manning and Peyton Manning, alongside Jamie Horowitz, Ben Brown, and ESPN. Waldron and Adam Fasullo represent Anomaly Pictures, with Luvh Rakhe and Tony Yacenda also on board. Yacenda will direct the series, with Powell contributing as co-creator, co-writer, and executive producer under his Barnstorm Productions banner.

The pilot was co-written by Powell and Waldron, setting the tone for what promises to be a sharp and engaging comedy with plenty of sports flair. Chad Powers will stream exclusively on Hulu, aiming to score big with audiences looking for a blend of heart, humor, and gridiron action.
