Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx reunite for Netflix’s action-comedy “Back in Action”

After nearly a decade away from the big screen, Cameron Diaz makes her highly anticipated return alongside Jamie Foxx in Netflix’s upcoming action-comedy Back in Action. The film reunites the dynamic duo, who previously shared the screen in Any Given Sunday and Annie, and promises a thrilling ride as they navigate the double life of suburban parents and ex-spies.

“Everybody asks me the question: ‘Is Cameron Diaz coming back?’” Jamie Foxx shared with Netflix, confirming fans’ hopes. And the answer is a resounding yes. Diaz steps back into the spotlight with a vengeance, portraying a character who, along with her on-screen husband played by Foxx, has left behind a high-stakes CIA career for a quieter family life.

“We’re on a mission,” Diaz explained. “We take this opportunity where people might think we’re dead, to disappear off the face of the planet and start a new life and raise our family.” However, as expected, their peaceful existence is short-lived when the shadows of their past resurface, pulling them back into the world of espionage with explosive consequences.

Directed by Seth Gordon, known for Horrible Bosses and Baywatch, and co-written with Brendan O’Brien, Back in Action promises a blend of high-octane action and comedic moments.
