Imtiaz Ali and Netflix reunite for “O Saathi Re, a tale of Love and human dilemmas

After the overwhelming success of Amar Singh Chamkila, Netflix and filmmaker Imtiaz Ali are teaming up once again for O Saathi Re, a fresh yet nostalgic take on love and human emotions in the modern world. Produced by Window Seat Films and Reliance Entertainment, the series boasts a stellar cast featuring Aditi Rao Hydari, Avinash Tiwary, and Arjun Rampal, each bringing depth to this poetic love story.

Renowned for his deeply introspective storytelling in Rockstar, Tamasha, and Jab We Met, Imtiaz Ali steps in as the creator, writer, and showrunner of O Saathi Re, while also serving as an executive producer alongside Mohit Choudhary. Arif Ali, known for directing Netflix’s She, will helm the series.

Imtiaz Ali expressed his excitement about the project, saying, “O Saathi Re surprised me at every turn of its development. It is a modern story with a vintage heart, an enchanted fairy tale set in the fiasco of metropolitan life. I feel both relieved and excited at having Arif direct the stellar cast of Avinash, Aditi, and Arjun (All Aces there), and it is the ever-strengthening relationship with Netflix that enabled us to enter the deceptively charming world of O Saathi Re.”

The upcoming drama also marks a Netflix homecoming for its lead actors. Aditi Rao Hydari returns after captivating audiences in Heeramandi, Avinash Tiwary follows his gripping performance in Sikandar Ka Muqaddar, and Arjun Rampal gears up for his next big move after making waves in Rana Naidu Season 2. The chemistry among the trio was already evident during their table read ahead of filming.
