HBO has officially renewed The White Lotus for a fourth season, continuing the global success of Mike White’s critically acclaimed drama series. The news comes ahead of the much-anticipated premiere of season three, set to debut on 16 February. While details about the fourth season, including its location and cast, remain under wraps, the renewal isn’t entirely unexpected. HBO and Max Content Chairman and CEO Casey Bloys revealed in November that Mike White had already pitched a concept for season four during the production of season three in Thailand. The upcoming third season, which unfolds over eight episodes, is set in a luxurious Thai resort and follows the dramatic interactions of guests and staff during a week-long stay. Featuring a sprawling ensemble cast, the new season stars Leslie Bibb, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Carrie Coon, Parker Posey, and Blackpink’s Lisa Manobal, among others. Natasha Rothwell, a fan favorite from season one, also makes a return. White has teased that season three will be “a supersized White Lotus,” hinting at a more extravagant and intense storyline. “It’s going to be longer, bigger, crazier. I don’t know what people will think, but I am super excited, so at least for my own barometer, that’s a good thing … I’m super excited about the content of the season,” he shared with Entertainment Weekly.
