Prime Video is set to unveil House of David, an ambitious biblical drama that will premiere on 27 February, 2025, with the release of three episodes, followed by weekly installments. The series, which explores the rise of Israel’s legendary King David, comes from acclaimed filmmakers Jon Erwin and Jon Gunn, bringing a fresh cinematic approach to one of history’s most enduring stories.

The newly released trailer introduces Michael Iskander in the title role, marking a major moment for the young actor, who was selected after an extensive four-month international search. Iskander, recently seen in the Tony Award-winning Kimberly Akimbo, leads a star-studded cast that includes Ali Suliman as King Saul, Ayelet Zurer as Queen Ahinoam, Stephen Lang as Samuel, and Martyn Ford as Goliath.

The series chronicles David’s journey from an obscure shepherd to the anointed king of Israel, destined to replace a faltering Saul. As the once-mighty ruler struggles with his own pride and paranoia, the young David finds himself navigating the treacherous landscape of love, loss, and palace intrigue while fulfilling a divine prophecy. With epic battles, power struggles, and a gripping narrative of faith and destiny, House of David aims to bring one of the Bible’s most compelling figures to life for a global audience.

Additional cast members include Indy Lewis, Yali Topol Margalith, Ethan Kai, Sam Otto, Oded Fehr, Louis Ferreira, and Ashraf Barhom, among others. The series is produced in collaboration with Wonder Project, Amazon MGM Studios, Nomadic Pictures, Argonauts, Kingdom Story Company, and Lionsgate Television.

With a high-caliber production team and a narrative that blends history, drama, and action, House of David is poised to make an impact when it arrives on Prime Video across 240 countries and territories.
