Jisoo is stepping into a new chapter of her career, signing a global label deal with Warner Records for her solo music. The announcement, confirmed Tuesday, comes just weeks before the highly anticipated release of her debut solo mini-album, Amortage, set to drop on 14 February.

“I’m excited about this new era and the continuation of my musical journey,” Jisoo shared in a statement. “I feel like I’m just getting started and I’d like to thank the BLINKs for all of their love and support. This is just the beginning and I’m thrilled to kick off this seismic moment with Warner Records.”

With this deal, Jisoo becomes the final member of Blackpink to secure a solo label outside the K-pop powerhouse group. In 2023, Blackpink announced their departure from YG Entertainment for their individual projects, a move that followed years of speculation about renegotiations as the group’s global influence soared.

Warner Records’ CEO and co-chairman Aaron Bay-Schuck praised Jisoo’s star power, stating, “There is no question that Jisoo is one of the biggest stars in the world, and we have no doubt that her solo career will be even more impactful. The energy, passion, and artistry Jisoo brings to her music is on another level. Her music transcends cultures and Tom Corson and I along with the entire team are thrilled to join forces with Jisoo as she continues to make history and inspire millions around the world.”

Since Blackpink’s debut under YG Entertainment in 2016, Jisoo and her bandmates have achieved unparalleled success, becoming one of the best-selling girl groups worldwide. Before parting ways with YG for solo endeavors, Jisoo released Me, a single bundle featuring “Flower” and “All Eyes on Me.” The tracks have since amassed over 600 million streams on Spotify, cementing her potential as a solo force in the industry.
