Ananya Panday has made her choice, and it’s romance with a comedic twist. According Peeping Moon, the actress has reportedly passed on Imtiaz Ali’s next project to star opposite Kartik Aaryan in Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri, a romantic comedy backed by Dharma Productions and Namah Pictures. This marks the duo’s second on-screen pairing after Pati Patni Aur Woh, a move that signals Ananya’s preference for lighter, commercially friendly fare over an intense romantic drama. Ananya had been in advanced discussions with Imtiaz Ali for his upcoming film, an emotional love story that was expected to roll before he moves on to his next venture with Fahadh Faasil and Triptii Dimri. However, with both projects scheduled to begin filming around the same time, she found herself at a crossroads. This decision further solidifies Ananya’s longstanding relationship with Dharma Productions. Since her debut in Student of the Year 2 in 2019, she has continued collaborating with the production house, with Tu Meri Main Tera marking her seventh project under its banner. Her previous collaborations include Gehraiyaan, Liger, Call Me Bae, and the upcoming Kesari 2. She is also gearing up for Chand Mera Dil alongside Lakshya, which is set to commence filming next month.
