Pascal Dalton, a seasoned executive in the television industry, is stepping into a new role with the launch of Shimmer Media, a consultancy focused on format management, licensing, and brand strategy, as per Deadline exclusive. The newly established company promises a “fresh perspective” on developing, selling, and protecting entertainment formats in an evolving media landscape. With a portfolio that spans consulting on format development, handling licensing deals, running social media campaigns, and tackling IP infringement, Shimmer Media is already working with high-profile clients. Dalton has been advising All3Media International as a formats consultant, helping Bulgarian production house Hidalgo Productions with international business strategy, and serving as part-time Chief Business Development Officer at London-based gaming and animation company Inviox Studios. Dalton brings a wealth of industry experience, having spent seven years at ITV Studios as Head of Brand Partnerships for North EMEA, overseeing format sales across 26 territories. During his tenure, he worked on some of the biggest entertainment brands, including Love Island, I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here, and Come Dine with Me. Before that, he held key roles at the former Endemol Shine Group, rising from Sales and Licensing Manager to Regional Sales Director for Central and Eastern Europe, where he worked on global hits such as MasterChef, Deal or No Deal, and Big Brother. Launching just ahead of the London TV Screenings and MIP London, Shimmer Media is entering the scene at a crucial time for the industry. Dalton is confident that the current challenges in television present new opportunities. “The television industry is challenging us at present – as it often has done before – but this presents Shimmer and our clients with a unique opportunity. As an agile organisation, we can use our network and experience to swiftly get formats in front of the right people to meet market demand, but we can also give titles and their owners the attention they deserve.” With Dalton’s track record in international format sales and brand strategy, Shimmer Media is poised to carve out a significant space in the global television market, helping content creators and rights holders navigate an increasingly complex and competitive industry.
