A Thousand Blows Cast and Executive Producers Gather for UK Special Screening and Q&A at Vue Leicester Square

LONDON, UK (February 20th, 2025) The cast, creator and executive producers of the upcoming Disney+ Original series ‘A THOUSAND BLOWS’ arrived in London for a Special Screening and Q&A at VUE Leicester Square to celebrate the series launching tomorrow (Friday 21 February) on Disney+ in the UK and Ireland and Hulu in the US. In partnership with O2 Priority, the episodes and Q&A were also livestreamed across 25 regional cinemas within the UK.

Creator Steven Knight was in attendance alongside the star-studded cast; Stephen Graham, Erin Doherty, Malachi Kirby and Hannah Walters.

Inspired by the true life stories of a group of characters battling for survival in the brutal East End of London in the 1880s. Hezekiah Moscow and Alec Munroe, best friends from Jamaica, find themselves thrust into the criminal underbelly of London’s thriving bare-knuckle boxing scene. As Hezekiah finds fortune and fame through the art of pugilism, he attracts the attention of the infamous Queen of the Forty Elephants, Mary Carr, who sets about exploiting his talents to further her criminal enterprise. Meanwhile, the menacing and self-declared emperor of the East End boxing world, Sugar Goodson, is determined to destroy Hezekiah whose ambitions to fight in the West End threaten everything he has built. What ensues is a battle of the old world against the new.

“A Thousand Blows” launches on Disney+ in the UK and Ireland, Hulu in the U.S., and select other countries on Disney+ on 21 February 2025.
