Sky has unveiled the official teaser for its upcoming exclusive film Mountainhead, a darkly comedic exploration of wealth and crisis from the mind of seven-time Emmy® winner and Oscar®-nominated writer Jesse Armstrong, the creator of the critically acclaimed Sky Exclusive series Succession. The film will premiere on 1 June on Sky and the streaming service NOW. Set against the backdrop of a rolling international crisis, Mountainhead follows a group of billionaire friends whose seemingly casual gathering quickly becomes a stage for tension, power struggles, and existential reckoning. The star-studded cast is led by Steve Carell as Randall, alongside Jason Schwartzman as Souper (Hugo Van Yalk), Cory Michael Smith as Venis, and Ramy Youssef as Jeff. The ensemble is rounded out by Hadley Robinson (Hester), Andy Daly (Casper), Ali Kinkade (Berry), Daniel Oreskes (Dr. Phipps), David Thompson (Leo), Amie MacKenzie (Janine), and Ava Kostia (Paula). Mountainhead marks Jesse Armstrong’s debut as a feature film director, further expanding his sharp, satirical take on power and privilege. The film is executive produced by Armstrong himself alongside frequent collaborators Frank Rich, Lucy Prebble, Jon Brown, Tony Roche, Will Tracy, Mark Mylod, and Jill Footlick—many of whom worked together on the award-winning Succession. The newly released teaser offers a glimpse into the film’s stylish tone and razor-sharp dialogue, teasing a narrative that is as timely as it is unsettlingly hilarious. With Mountainhead, Sky continues its tradition of bold, thought-provoking original programming—bringing together an elite cast and a celebrated creative team to deliver one of the most anticipated films of the year. Mountainhead will be available to watch on Sky and streaming service NOW from 1 June.
