Hayat Kamille is the latest actor to board The Mummy, director Lee Cronin’s reimagining of the classic monster tale for Atomic Monster and Blumhouse, under Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group. Kamille joins the cast which includes Jack Reynor, Laia Costa, May Calamawy, Natalie Grace, Shylo Molina, Billie Roy, Veronica Falcón, and May Elghety. While specific plot details remain tightly under wraps, the film is schedule to hit theaters on 17th April, 2026. The film marks another high-profile collaboration between genre powerhouses James Wan and Jason Blum, who are producing alongside John Keville. Cronin, who also wrote the script, serves as executive producer under his Doppelgängers banner. Additional executive producers include Michael Clear and Judson Scott. Hayat Kamille has been steadily making a name for herself across film, TV, and stage. She recently wrapped a series-regular role as Maryam in Wild Cherry, a BBC One project helmed by Nicôle Lecky. Currently, she stars as Mariam in the newest season of Netflix’s Vikings: Valhalla, created by Jeb Stuart. Kamille’s film résumé includes performances in Kenneth Branagh’s Death on the Nile and Murder on the Orient Express for 20th Century Studios, along with Mosul, the Netflix/AGBO war drama produced by Anthony and Joe Russo. On stage, she played a leading role in Bagdaddy at London’s Royal Court Theatre, directed by Milli Bhatia. Meanwhile, Blumhouse continues to bolster its horror slate with upcoming releases including The Black Phone 2 (October 17), Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 (December 5), and Soulm8te (January 9). Last year’s Speak No Evil, starring James McAvoy, turned out to be one of the company’s most profitable ventures, earning $76.8 million globally on a $15 million production budget and netting $50 million.
