The trailer for Dhadak 2 is out, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri. The trailer reflects that the upcoming romantic drama has bold, emotionally charged narrative that redefines the idea of love against all odds.
Directed by debutante Shazia Iqbal, Dhadak 2 introduces audiences to Neelesh, played by Chaturvedi and Vidhi portrayed by Dimri, who come from different backgrounds but their bond brims with longing, quiet defiance, and emotional grit. The trailer offers a glimpse into their complex world, where the tension is thick, the stakes are personal, and love is an act of rebellion.
This marks the first on-screen pairing for Siddhant and Triptii, who bring palpable intensity and layered vulnerability to their roles. Their chemistry is more about what’s unsaid than spoken—moments of courage whispered through glances and silences rather than sweeping declarations.
After gaining recognition for his introspective turn in Gehraiyaan, Siddhant returns to Dharma Productions with this darker, more grounded role. Triptii, meanwhile, is riding high on buzz from the upcoming Bad Newz, also produced by Dharma. For both actors, Dhadak 2 represents their second collaboration with the studio but their first as romantic leads.
Unlike its predecessor, Dhadak 2 is not a sequel in the traditional sense. While Dhadak (2018), starring Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter, reimagined the Marathi blockbuster Sairat for a mainstream audience, the new installment forges its own path. Iqbal’s directorial debut takes on themes of power, class, and identity through a wholly original lens.
Produced by Karan Johar, Umesh Kumar Bansal, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Meenu Aroraa, Somen Mishra, and Pragati Deshmukh, Dhadak 2 is backed by Dharma Productions, Zee Studios, and Cloud 9 Pictures. The film is set for a theatrical release on August 1, 2025.
With a stirring trailer that blends romance with resistance, Dhadak 2 looks poised to carve out a unique space among modern love stories.
