Canadian producer Christopher Giroux and actress-producer Ann Pirvu have formally launched their joint venture, Precious Metal Productions, reported Deadline. and Following the launch, the duo revealed details of its first completed project, a television movie romance titled Bee My Love. The newly formed company is focused on television movies and feature films, with activities spanning original content development through to full-service production. The announcement follows the completion of production on Bee My Love, marking the company’s first collaboration. Pirvu stars in the film as a private chef competing for her dream role with a celebrity restaurateur. Drawing inspiration from her mother’s recipes, the sweetness of honey and an unexpected connection with a struggling beekeeper, the story explores the idea that life and love are richest when shared. The cast also includes Robin Dunne, Emily Alatalo, Romaine Waite, Neil Whitely and Brigitte Kingsley. Giroux brings more than five decades of combined experience and over 50 producer credits to the venture. He previously served as SVP of Production at Vortex Media, where he oversaw films including Anything For Jackson, A ’90s Christmas and The End of Sex. His work has earned two Canadian Screen Award nominations for Christmas Island and Take Me Back for Christmas. He has also recently directed Uphill for Christmas, currently in post-production, starring Vanessa Lengies and Marcus Rosner. Speaking about the company’s philosophy, Giroux said: “Film and TV production is entering an interesting era. The enthusiasm for content has never been higher – we strive to bridge the gap between the screen and the people watching it.” He added, “Our productions target a multilevel approach, with a mix of broadcast, social media interaction, live streaming, fan engagement, theatrical screenings, at home events, and more. We want audiences not just watching movies but experiencing them.” Pirvu, who was born in Romania, brings a wide-ranging career across film and television to the partnership. She is best known for playing Nicole in Reign and Zoe in the award-winning series Poly Is the New Monogamy, for which she received a 2025 Canadian Screen Award nomination. Her film credits include Learning to Love Again, Little Girl in the Window and The Heiress & The Handyman. “We’re hyper-focused on craft and precision. Bee My Love is produced in partnership with Kingsley and Andrew Cymek of Good Soldier Films. World distribution rights are held by Defiant Empire Distribution. With Precious Metal Productions now officially underway, Giroux and Pirvu are positioning the company as a creative label built around audience engagement, craft-driven storytelling and scalable production across film and television.
