The PM Vishwakarma Haat 2026 was inaugurated at Dilli Haat, INA, on Saturday by Jitan Ram Manjhi, Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). The event is being organised by the Ministry of MSME and will remain open to the public until January 31.

The inauguration took place in the presence of Shobha Karandlaje, Minister of State for MSME and Labour & Employment. Ambassadors of Iraq and Rwanda, senior officials from the Ministry of MSME, representatives of States and Union Territories, artisans and other stakeholders were also present.

Addressing the gathering, Manjhi highlighted the impact of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme and congratulated the organising team. He said, “PM Vishwakarma provides a valuable platform to artisans from village-level backgrounds to sell their products and it is a commendable effort.”

Speaking on the occasion, Karandlaje underlined the national reach of the initiative. “Under the visionary leadership of the Prime Minister, the PM Vishwakarma initiative has achieved significant milestones. It is truly encouraging to witness the participation of over 117 artisans from various States and Union Territories on the platform of PM Vishwakarma Haat,” she said. She added that the initiative connects village artisans by offering them an enabling platform and opening pathways to global markets, noting that these outcomes reflect sustained efforts by the Government of India and the Ministry of MSME.

Highlighting the broader vision of the programme, S. C. L. Das, Secretary, Ministry of MSME, described PM Vishwakarma as a significant initiative and said the diversity and richness of Vishwakarma communities reflect the vision of “Virasat se Vikas.” He emphasised how artisans are carrying forward traditional skills, supported by the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which has provided them with a strong and enabling platform.

Rajneesh, Additional Secretary and Development Commissioner, Ministry of MSME, outlined the achievements of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme and described Vishwakarmas as engines of growth for the Indian economy. He elaborated on the scheme’s benefits and explained how it is creating enhanced marketing opportunities for artisans.

Cultural programmes and folk dance performances inspired by the themes of Bihar and Rajasthan were also presented during the event, adding vibrancy and showcasing India’s cultural diversity.

The PM Vishwakarma Haat 2026, being held from January 18 to January 31, features handcrafted products, live craft demonstrations and immersive cultural experiences reflecting the spirit of “Vishwakarma Ka Abhiyaan, Viksit Bharat Ka Nirman.” The exhibition is open daily from 10:30 AM to 10:00 PM and brings together more than 117 artisans from across States and Union Territories, making it a pan-India celebration of traditional craftsmanship.

The Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Scheme offers a comprehensive support framework for artisans, including a PM Vishwakarma Identity Card and Certificate, skill training with a stipend of ₹500 per day, and a toolkit incentive of up to ₹15,000. Beneficiaries are also eligible for collateral-free loans of up to ₹3 lakh, incentives for adopting digital transactions, and marketing assistance covering product branding, packaging and e-commerce enablement.
