Prime Video has released the first-look images and a special preview clip from its upcoming comedy series Bait, confirming that all six episodes will premiere on 25 March, 2026. The series will stream exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. The comedy stars Riz Ahmed as Shah Latif, a struggling actor whose hopes of success hinge on what may be his final opportunity—an audition that could change everything. Set over the course of four chaotic days, the series follows Shah as his personal and professional life begins to unravel, with his family, an ex-lover and the wider world all weighing in on whether he is truly right for the role that could define his future. Alongside Ahmed, the ensemble cast includes Guz Khan as Zulfi, Sheeba Chaddha as Tahira, Sajid Hasan as Parvez, Aasiya Shah as Q, Weruche Opia as Felicia, and Ritu Arya as Yasmin. Bait is executive produced by Ahmed and Allie Moore under their Left Handed banner, with Jake Fuller executive producing for Jax Media. Ben Karlin serves as executive producer and showrunner alongside Ahmed. The series is produced by Jax Media in association with Amazon MGM Studios. With its fast-paced premise and sharply observed humour, Bait marks Ahmed’s latest collaboration with Prime Video and adds to the platform’s growing slate of globally focused comedy series ahead of its March release.
