The uncertainty surrounding the casting of Don 3 appears to have settled, with Ranveer Singh and Excel Entertainment reaching an amicable resolution following his sudden exit from the project.

The development comes after weeks of speculation over the actor’s departure and reports of a financial dispute between Singh and the production house, led by filmmaker Farhan Akhtar. Industry insiders had indicated that multiple stakeholders were involved in mediating the situation.

According to reports, Singh has taken steps to compensate the producers, including returning his entire signing fee for the film, estimated to be around ₹10 crore. However, the settlement reportedly extends beyond the refund.

As part of the resolution, Singh is said to have offered Excel Entertainment a stake in his upcoming project, tentatively titled Pralay. While the exact terms of this arrangement remain undisclosed, sources suggest that details such as budget and production timelines for the film are still being finalised.

A source familiar with the matter said, “Ranveer has gracefully agreed to return his signing amount, which was reportedly around Rs 10 crore. To further compensate Excel, he has reportedly agreed to give them a stake in his next film, tentatively being referred to as Pralay.”

The source also noted that Singh’s handling of the situation has been well received within the industry. “However, just the fact that Ranveer has shown so much grace is good enough to make him a fair player in the industry. Like they say in fairy tales, all is well that ends well.”

While the future casting of Don 3 remains a topic of interest, the resolution of the dispute marks a calmer phase for the project, allowing both the actor and the production house to move forward without further friction.
