West Wilson is officially leaving Summer House. According to The Hollywood Reporter, a source close to production said that Wilson will not return to the Bravo reality series after three seasons. The departure comes ahead of the network’s announcement of the season 11 cast and follows a season dominated by one of the franchise’s biggest off-screen controversies. Wilson joined Summer House in 2024 and quickly became a breakout personality. However, his profile rose dramatically this year after he became involved in a highly publicized relationship scandal with co-star Amanda Batula. On 31 March, Wilson and Batula — the estranged wife of longtime Summer House cast member Kyle Cooke — confirmed they were romantically involved. The announcement came roughly two months after Batula and Cooke publicly revealed they were separating following four years of marriage. The revelation sparked widespread discussion among fans and delivered a ratings surge for Bravo reminiscent of the network’s “Scandoval” phenomenon in 2023. The relationship news created deep divisions within the cast, with issues surrounding secrecy and perceived betrayals fueling tensions among housemates. Much of the fallout from the off-camera developments unfolded during an explosive three-part reunion special that wrapped last week. The story will continue this week when Bravo airs Summer House: The Aftermath on Tuesday at 9 p.m. The bonus episode features three separate sit-down interviews filmed after the reunion, providing viewers with updates on where key cast members currently stand following the season’s dramatic events. Wilson’s exit arrives as Bravo continues discussions regarding the makeup of the season 11 cast. The series was renewed in May, and negotiations with returning and prospective cast members remain underway. Josh Brown, Bravo’s vice president of current production, recently told The Hollywood Reporter that casting decisions are expected to be finalized by the end of June, with production scheduled to begin in early July. “We do not feel like this is a reboot situation at all. We feel like this is evolving,” Brown told THR. “It’s interesting that we’re not talking about this past season where we had five new cast members on. We didn’t feel like that was a reboot, either. We felt that was evolving. It really comes down to what the show is, which is obviously about a summer share in the Hamptons, and in real life, every summer, there might be a core group, but the group does evolve in real life share houses. So these things evolve. We can’t say exactly how many people are returning or exactly how many new cast members are joining, but there’s always new people to freshen the dynamic, and we were planning for that before any of this scandal hit.” While Bravo has yet to reveal who will return for the upcoming season, filming is expected to move forward in July regardless of the final cast lineup. Meanwhile, the Summer House universe continues to expand. The franchise’s spinoff series, In the City, is currently airing and features Batula, Cooke and fellow Summer House star Lindsay Hubbard.
