Colin Jost, Scarlett Johansson’s fiance has revealed that he was ‘scared of marriage’ before he proposed to her. The pair have been together for a while – Colin, a Saturday Night Live co-head writer and Scarlett an action hero who landed in the big-time with her role as Black Widow in the MCU. Colin proposed to Scarlett in May of this year which marks two years since the pair became publically official. However, before he met her, he said that he had never thought that he would get married to anyone. In an interview to the New York Post, he said, “I’m getting married, and it’s such a crazy thing. I was so scared of marriage for so long because every time I talked to someone who just got married, or was about to get married, is like, ‘Oh my God, you got to do it… What could go wrong?’ Then you talk to someone who’s been married for five years, and they’re like, ‘Don’t rush into it… you have your whole life ahead of you. Don’t have kids. They’re the worst.’” In another interview where Colin was asked about Scarlett, he said, “The first time she hosted (SNL) was the first year I was a writer on the show. So, we’ve kind of known each other since then… she’s the best… I’m very happy. I feel very lucky.” Even though this is the first time for Colin, it will be third time lucky for Scarlett. In the past, she was married to Deadpool’s Ryan Reynolds and journalist Romain Dauriac. She shares a child with Dauriac called Rose who is four years old.
