Rahul Kohli (iZombie) has signed on to the cast of Netflix’s The Haunting of Bly Manor, the sequel to the horror series The Haunting of Hill House. He will joined by star Catherine Parker who was in the original series reprising her role of the ghostly Poppy Hill. The previous series centered entirely around Poppy Hill, a ghost from the 1920s who married into the Hill family after meeting her husband, William, in an asylum. They were both patients at the time and then moved into Hill House just after they had been released from the asylum. However, in the modern day as a ghost, Poppy has it in her head that they only way to wake up the new residents from their nightmares is to kill them. She’s clearly medically trained in sleep and doesn’t think just a glass of water to the face would do it. The creator, Mike Flanagan, released the news on Twitter. He also revealed new cast members such as T’Nia Miller, Amelia Eve, Amelie Smith and Benjamin Ainsworth as well as familiar faces like Henry Thomas and Kate Siegel. Kohli will be playing a man living in a small town who has his sights set on soemthing bigger, however he has to return to his home town to look after his dying mother. Bly Manor itself is inspired by The Turn of the Screw by Henry James and it is set in an old country mansion. Living in the mansion are two young orphans who are being looked after by their governness who is played by Victoria Pedretti.
