Alan Martin tweeted that LuckyChap Entertainment, Margot Robbie’s production company have gained the rights to Tank Girl after months of development already having taken place. Following this, Margot has already found a director to lead the project, Miles Joris-Peyrafitte who she worked with before on Dreamland.
Margot will allegedly play the lead role of the girl in a tank but she hasn’t fully committed to star until she reads a script for herself.
This isn’t the first time that Tank Girl has been made into a film, however, as it was adapted in 1995 by Rachel Talalay. The comic is set in a post-apocalyptic world where everyone has to battle for the water which is running out.
We will post more on this story as it develops.
