Celebrating its 100th anniversary, Disney has announced to give their iconic classic, ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’, a 4K makeover utilizing new scans of the film’s original nitrate negative.
The 4k release is a part of Disney’s ongoing commitment to major restoration projects that aims to restore their timeless treasures. It follows the successful 4K UHD restoration of ‘Cinderella’ earlier this week.
The remastered 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray edition of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” is scheduled to hit Amazon shelves on 10th October.
The restoration project of Snow White is been overseen by Eric Goldberg, renowned for his mastery in Disney animation, and Michael Giaimo, the creative force behind beloved films like ‘Frozen’, ‘Frozen 2’, ‘Wish’, and ‘Pocahontas’.
As both the masters have poured their expertise into this project, 4K remastered version ensures to capture the essence of the original masterpiece while enhancing it for a new generation of viewers.
The upcoming Disney100 edition of the film will be presented in bespoke collectible O-sleeve packaging. Exclusive releases will be available through select retailers, including a captivating Steelbook version at Best Buy. Additionally, fans can look forward to an array of animated titles in the Disney100 edition slipcovers, each accompanied by a charming Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs collectible pin, available at Walmart.
Mark your calendars for 10th October and get ready to experience the magic of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs like never before in stunning 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray quality.
