Lindsay Lohan to headline ‘Our Little Secret’ for Netflix

Lindsay Lohan continued her two-movie deal with Netflix with her next, ‘Our Little Secret’. The movie, directed by Stephen Herek, will also star Kristin Chenoweth, Ian Harding, Jon Rudnitsky and Chris Parnell.

The movie, written by Hailey DeDominis, is about two resentful former lovers who are forced to spend Christmas under the same roof after discovering that their current partners are siblings. The ensemble cast includes Tim Meadows, Dan Bucatinsky, Henry Czerny, Katie Baker, Ash Santos, Jake Brennan and Brian Unger.

Our Little Secret is part of Lohan’s movie deal with Netflix. As per The Hollywood reporter, the streaming giant, in the last couple of years, is expanding its Christmas-themed rom-coms for subscribers, who are elated during the holiday spirit. Herek’s relationship drama is now in production.

Prior to this, Lohan also starred in the Netflix holiday rom-com Falling for Christmas, where the Mean Girls star played the character of a spoiled hotel heiress who gets into a skiing accident, suffers amnesia and is cared for by handsome, blue-collar lodge owner.

The deal with Netlfix marks Lohan’s return to the big screen after many years of on-and-off roles, including the British TV comedy Sick Note and MTV reality show Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club.

The Netflix deal is also aiming to put behind Lohan a career trough for the once-high flying Hollywood star who led films like Nancy Meyers’ 1998 remake of The Parent Trap and had her among the A-list with 2004’s Mean Girls, which was remade and is currently in theaters.

Our Little Secret is produced by Mike Elliot and Lisa Gooding, with Joseph P. Genier executive producing.
