Super Bowl LVIII: Taylor Swift kisses Travis Kelce in fairy-tale ending

Kansas City Chiefs won Super Bowl LVIII in overtime, giving pop sensation Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce their fairy-tale ending as they embraced and kissed. Swift has been standing like a rock beside Kelce throughout the Chiefs’ journey to the grandest stage. While fans speculated that Swift would not be able to make it to the big game as she was scheduled to perform in Japan the night before, her presence added stars to the already glitzy event.

The singer arrived at Allegiant Stadium with Blake Lively and Ice Spice and her emotive gesticulations and emotions were the only thing that kept the social media buzzing.

After the Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers, the cameras caught the moment when Swift rushed to the field to congratulate Kelce and seal the victory with a kiss.

While Kelce won the big game today, Swift won took the top award at the Grammys winning Album of the Year, setting an all-time record.

Chiefs coach Andy Reid spoke about how Swift and Kelce have handled the added media attention: “She’s been great. Listen, she’s a good girl and I’m happy for Trav, and there has been no distraction that way at all. Trav’s handled it right, she’s handled it right, and we just move forward, so it hasn’t been a problem at all.”

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell talked about the effect that Swift has had on ratings and the game.

“Having the Taylor Swift effect is also a positive,” Goodell said at a press conference this week. “Both Travis and Taylor are wonderful young people, they seem very happy. She knows great entertainment and I think that’s why she loves NFL football. I think it’s great to have her a part of it. Obviously, it creates a buzz, another group of young fans. Particularly young women.”
