Yash’s gangster thriller “Toxic” to become a global project with 20th Century Fox distribution

Following the immense success of KGF and KGF 2, Yash is gearing up for his next big venture, a gangster thriller titled Toxic. Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Geethu Mohandas, the film already boasts a star-studded cast, with Kiara Advani and Nayanthara in pivotal roles. Currently in production, Toxic is slated for a 2025 release.

According to Pinkvilla’s exclusive report, Yash and his production partners, KVN, are aiming to make Toxic a global hit. Sources close to the project have revealed that the team is in early discussions with 20th Century Fox for international distribution. “The discussions are in very nascent stages but the intent is to make Toxic a global project. Yash strongly believes that the story-telling pattern and visuals of Toxic are right up there with international projects and is exploring the possibilities of partnering with a global giant for a massive release,” told an insider to Pinkvilla.  

The discussions regarding the international distribution deal are expected to solidify by Summer 2025, with 20th Century Fox currently leading the negotiations. The film is expected to hit theaters in December 2025, though the exact release date will be finalized closer to the completion of filming.

Set in the post-Independence era, Toxic promises to showcase Yash in an entirely new light. The film will be released in multiple languages, including Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam, ensuring a wide reach across audiences. Besides Toxic, Yash is also part of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Sunny Deol, set to release during Diwali 2026.
