Emmy®-winning actor, writer, and comedian Brett Goldstein is bringing his razor-sharp wit and irresistible charm to the UK with the premiere of his first Sky Exclusive stand-up special, Brett Goldstein: The Second Best Night Of Your Life. The special will debut on Sunday 27 April on Sky and streaming service NOW in the UK.
Filmed at the Bergen Performing Arts Center in New Jersey, the special captures Goldstein at his most candid and hilarious as he trades in the gruff demeanor of Ted Lasso’s Roy Kent for unfiltered reflections on love, sex, masculinity, “Sesame Street,” and more. With his signature mix of sharp observation and heartfelt humour, Goldstein delivers an unforgettable night of comedy — in what he affectionately calls “the most beautiful place on earth… New Jersey.”
A Comic Force with Global Appeal
Best known for his Emmy-winning turn as Roy Kent in the global phenomenon Ted Lasso, and as co-creator and executive producer of Apple TV+’s Shrinking, Brett Goldstein has quickly become one of the most in-demand multi-hyphenates in the entertainment industry.
Goldstein will next be seen opposite Imogen Poots in the upcoming film All of You, which he co-wrote and produced. The romantic drama premiered to acclaim at both the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival and the BFI London Film Festival, and will debut globally on Apple TV+ later this year. He is also currently in production alongside Jennifer Lopez on Office Romance, an irreverent rom-com he co-wrote with longtime collaborator Joe Kelly.
In addition, Goldstein recently wrapped filming on At the Sea, the latest drama from acclaimed director Kornél Mundruczó, co-starring Amy Adams and Murray Bartlett.
Following his sold-out, multi-city North American stand-up tour of the same name, The Second Best Night Of Your Life now makes its way to UK audiences for a front-row seat to Goldstein’s dynamic stage presence and comedic storytelling.
