Netflix has announced the release date and first-look images for the third and final season of Turn of the Tide, with the acclaimed Portuguese drama set to return on 10 April. The concluding chapter promises a final outing filled with action, justice and revenge, bringing back its core cast led by José Condessa, Helena Caldeira, Rodrigo Tomás and André Leitão. They are joined once again by Maria João Bastos, Salvador Martinha, Afonso Pimentel, Kelly Bailey and Victoria Guerra. The final season also expands its ensemble with the addition of veteran actor Joaquim de Almeida, alongside Ângelo Rodrigues and Inês Castel-Branco, further strengthening the show’s dramatic lineup. Set three years after the events of the previous season, the story follows Eduardo, played by Condessa, as he returns to Rabo de Peixe after serving time in prison. He finds the community transformed by mounting economic and political pressures that threaten to displace families, dismantle the fishing industry and reshape the island’s future. Reunited by their enduring bond, Eduardo and his friends form “Night Justice,” a secret vigilante movement rooted in the local community. Operating in the shadows, the group seeks to reclaim power for those who feel ignored and marginalised. As their influence grows, however, the boundary between resistance and violence becomes increasingly unstable, raising difficult questions about the cost of justice. With its final season, Turn of the Tide aims to bring its story to a close by exploring the consequences of rebellion, loyalty and survival in a changing world. The 10 April premiere will mark the end of one of Portugal’s most successful Netflix originals, as the series prepares to deliver its last and most intense chapter.
