Filmmaker Aditya Dhar has renewed his exclusive first-look agreement with Jio Studios for another two years, continuing a partnership that began in 2023 through his banner B62 Studios alongside producer Lokesh Dhar. Under the extended deal, Dhar will develop and produce multiple projects for the studio, including his next directorial venture. The collaboration has already yielded several titles including Article 370, Dhoom Dhaam, Baramulla and the two-part Dhurandhar franchise and was quietly extended just before the release of Dhurandhar on 5 December last year. The renewal follows the massive commercial success of Dhurandhar, which collected more than ₹838 crore net in India and ₹1305 crore worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing Indian film domestically. Dhar is now in the final stages of editing Dhurandhar: The Revenge, slated for theatrical release on 19 March, 2026, with Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi and Danish Pandor among the cast. Earlier, Dhar had planned to direct the large-scale VFX film The Immortal Ashwatthama starring Vicky Kaushal for Jio Studios, but the project was shelved due to budget constraints and is no longer being pursued. The filmmaker is expected to decide his next directorial only after Dhurandhar 2 releases, though discussions are underway for a potential collaboration with Ranveer Singh on a mythological action project. Jio Studios has not officially commented on the renewed agreement.
