PCCW Media and SK Global’s premium series The Season is set for a global release in June 2026, according to a Deadline exclusive report, marking a major international rollout across multiple platforms. The six-part English-language series will stream on Viu across Asia, the Middle East and South Africa, while audiences in the United States will be able to watch it on Hulu and Disney+. In Hong Kong, the series will be available on Now TV. Fremantle is handling international sales alongside De Maio Entertainment. Featuring an ensemble cast of international talent, the series stars Jessie Mei Li (Shadow And Bone), Chris Pang (Crazy Rich Asians), Lee Jae-yoon (Physical 100 Season 2), Karena Lam, Justin Chien (The Brothers Sun), Yvonne Chapman (Avatar: The Last Airbender), Celina Jade (Wolf Warrior 2), and Toby Stephens (Percy Jackson And The Olympians). The cast also includes model and actress Kōki, musician and actor Anson Lo of the band Mirror, and Marf Yau from the band Collar. Created and executive-produced by Yalun Tu (NCIS: Hawaii), the series is directed by Chilean filmmaker Marialy Rivas (The Jetty), who also serves as executive producer. The story centres on a tight-knit group of friends who come together for a season of luxury and social intrigue as Hong Kong’s boating season begins. According to the official synopsis, The Season is “a champagne-fueled revenge drama” set against the backdrop of Hong Kong’s elite social circuit, where yacht parties, horse races and charity galas conceal deeper tensions. At the heart of the narrative is the powerful Hext family, whose influence dominates high society even as secrets and scandals threaten to unravel their world. The arrival of a mysterious newcomer, Cola, sets events into motion, bringing hidden motives and escalating rivalries that push relationships to breaking point. As alliances shift and conflicts intensify, the story builds toward a dramatic confrontation that could upend the foundations of the elite circle. The series is executive produced by Agatha Lo for PCCW Media and Chloe Dan, Matt Aragachi and Dylan Tarason for SK Global, with Aaron Shershow (Expats) serving as producer. The cast and creative team recently reunited at Filmart in Hong Kong, where early glimpses of the project were shared. Janice Lee, CEO, PCCW Media Group & Viu, described the show as a “story of redemption with characters who will resonate with audiences globally.” “We are thrilled to partner with SK Global and our platform partners to share it with viewers everywhere,” Lee said. “Returning to Filmart one year after our initial announcement, and with the series now complete, we are excited to share a first glimpse of the work realised by an amazing creative team and cast.” About Author SSZee Media Provider of Quality Entertainment News and Information See author's posts Share this: Share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Share on X (Opens in new window) X Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window) Tumblr Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window) LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window) WhatsApp Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window) Pinterest Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email Share on Telegram (Opens in new window) Telegram Share on Reddit (Opens in new window) Reddit Print (Opens in new window) Print Like this:Like Loading...
